Measure P, council incumbents appear to have Poway voters’ support

It appears the former StoneRidge Country Club’s 117-acre property will be developed into a residential planned community, based on early election results.

As of 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, Measure P had 62.60 percent of voters in support and 37.40 percent in opposition. It needs 50 percent to pass.

“We are encouraged by the results so far,” said Kevin McNamara, who is among The Farm’s developers. “Development proposals are never easy to pass at the ballot box, but we’re confident that Poway voters will see the The Farm in Poway benefits the entire community”
